spoke with Andrea tonight for a while; good to talk with her.
Joe called earlier from Dulles on his way out to Chicago,
for the first of four weekends away.
s'okay, but was nice to hear from him.
Paddy and i have almost finished the first blackberry pie of the year.
(because we eat it for breakfast too!)
for the next one, i'm gonna use five cups of berries instead of four,
to improve the berry-to-crust ratio.
even so. i think the next batch will go into jam.
and i'm gonna start swimming everyday while he's at camp in the afternoons
to help offset the pie.
because, you know, there's no way i'm not picking blackberries
adn there's no way i can't make pie,
and i'm gonna have to break down and buy ice cream at some point
and i'll just have to swim it all off.
life's too short.
